Thing 7
Thing 7 was pretty cool. I did have some problems watching the videos. They ran very slow and kept stopping and reloading. I found uploading my pictures to Flickr to be pretty easy. I think this could be a nice way to share pictures with my family and my students families. I will continue to play around with uploading photos.
Thing 6
I think Flickr looks like a very cool sight. I love my photos and wonder if this will be a good sight to share them on. I downloaded a picture of sunshine because I am so ready for summer.
Thing 5
I was a little overwhelmed on the blog page. This was interesting having us practice subscribing 3 different ways. I was able to get all three to work but when I tried to subscribe to somethings for myself nothing happened. I was able to subscribe to a few and they asked for which folder and so one but I couldn't get all of them to do this. I guess I need to keep practicing.
Thing 4
Blogline set up done. I had a little bit of a hard time setting up the folders because I had to give my computer permission to open the site. Now everything is done and I am on to thing 5
Thing 3
It is very interesting to see how different people use blogs to communicate with people with similiar interest. I do think blogs could be a great way for teachers to communicate with families and students. I especially like how one teacher listed the weekly homework and had a form for the students to do their book report online. As a parent this would make homework very clear and your child could not say they forgot what their homework was. Some day maybe I will try to do more with my blog but for now it is on to Thing 4.

Thing 1
Watching the video for thing one really proved I am out of touch with technology. There were so many terms that I did not know or understand. What is Wiki? I didn't know you had to have an account to use google and I even have a realitive who works for google. Technology to me is using e-mail, facebook and my MP3 player in my classroom.
While watching the video I did realize that there really was some good ways to communicate with the students and their families that I would have never of thought of. I do think we need to try some new things to attract better communication with the students.
